Jeff Zeigler - Artist
Bio:
During the period of 1993-1995, Jeff Zeigler painted in primarily water colors and oils. From 1995-1996, he took on new mediums and new influences for creation of artworks. From 1997-1998, Jeff Zeigler showed his art at locations in his hometown of Orangeburg, South Carolina.
In 1998, Zeigler moved to Savannah Georgia and immediately became a part of the vibrant art community in the city of Savannah. He began showing with local artists and at his alma mater, Armstrong Atlantic State University. Zeigler later began showing in galleries in Savannah.
Jeff Zeigler works in varying mediums, and currently prefers working in acrylics. His styles continue to cross boundaries, of folk art, abstract art and contemporary art. Some themes, which are constant in his paintings and collages are sociology, family life, everyday life, and some issue oriented subject matter, such as race relations and recovery from mental disorders and substance abuse. Currently, Zeigler works in the field of mental health and substance abuse disorder recovery, and lives with his wife and son in Savannah, Georgia. He continues to paint and show art regularly.
